The smoked fish is now ready to be served and enjoyed – barndi wadbi. Most times you will see our smoked fish served on a table along with kangaroo tails and damper , for in our household it is the foods that joins our Yamaji (Aboriginal) and Maori family. Other times the smoked fish will be served with raw fish, fry breads and hangi. And then again we love smoked fish on its own.
